Unpredictable conditions are expected in wild and remote places such as Svalbard, and with extra time, we can slow the pace of the voyage, linger longer in quiet bays to enjoy wildlife encounters and return to a place that was previously not possible. Explore tundra adorned with wildflowers, keep watch for arctic fox, and discover historical camps of explorers and hunters. Day 1 Embarkation in Tromsø Arrive at Tromsø Airport and transfer to our Embarkation Suite (conditions apply below). After completing check-in and storing your luggage, enjoy time to explore this lively Arctic city before returning at the designated time for the group transfer to Sylvia Earle. Important information- Complimentary airport arrival transfers are available as group transfers for passengers arriving at Tromsø Airport before 12.00 pm on Day 1 only.
- If you arrive after the airport-transfer cut-off, please make your own way to the Embarkation Suite before 2.00 pm to complete mandatory check-in.
- If you are already in Tromsø, please bring all your luggage to our centrally located Embarkation Suite and complete mandatory check-in between 9.00 am and 2.00 pm.
- At the Embarkation Suite, luggage storage, Wi-Fi, tea, coffee and light refreshments are available, along with assistance from AE Expeditions staff regarding your voyage and time in the city.
- Embarkation Suite location: To be advised approximately six months before departure.
- Your main luggage will be transferred to the ship at 2.30 pm. Please keep passports, medication, money, cards and anything else you may need during the day in your hand luggage.

This state-of-the-art 104-metre ship is a purpose-built expedition vessel accommodating a maximum of just 130 passengers per voyage. She operates with a combination of low energy consumption, high fuel-efficiency and a streamlined design. Booking Information
Essential Information
Rates and Share Bookings
Prices shown are per person in US Dollars on a shared basis. If you are travelling alone and wish to share, you will be matched with someone of the same gender and pay only the share rate. If desired, Single occupancy is available at 1.7 times the twin share rate.
Deposits
Reservations require a deposit of 20% (minimum $1000 per person) at the time you receive a booking confirmation from Expeditions Online. A payment link will be sent to you and this may be paid by major credit card. Bookings within 120 days of departure require full payment.
Final Payments
Balances are due 120 days prior to departure and may be paid by bank transfer.
Cancellations
All requests for cancellation must be received in writing to Expeditions Online. Cancellations received 180 days or more prior to departure, are refunded less a fee of $1000 per person. If cancellation is received between 179 days and 120 days, the full deposit is forfeited. If cancellation occurs less than 120 days prior to departure, all payments are forfeited. If full payment has not yet been received, the full penalty will still apply and any unpaid balance is due immediately. We strongly recommend that you obtain adequate trip cancellation insurance.
