The MV Polaris 1 is an ex MOD fleet tender that has undergone extensive conversion into a luxury expedition vessel. She can accommodate 12 passengers in 12 spacious en-suite cabins. She is ideally suited for small group expeditions to remote locations that are inaccessible to the larger cruise ships. The main deck consists of the spacious passenger dining area, bar and lounge. This area benefits from large picture windows, allowing guests to enjoy fantastic views while they dine and relax at the bar.
The lower accommodation is made up of 12 en-suite cabins, arranged as 4 singles and 8 doubles.
With a party of 12 on board it is like travelling on a private yacht and it offers an entirely different experience and perspective to that of a larger and more conventional vessel.
Voyages are primarily designed to offer passengers a quality exploratory wildlife program, trying to spend as much time ashore as possible. As the number of passengers is limited to 12, flexibility assures maximum wildlife opportunities. The vessel carries 2 Zodiacs, each Zodiac can comfortably carry 8-10 passengers and 12 passengers on short runs e.g. from ship to shore.
